One year out from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, focus has turned to Asia’s burgeoning sports market. Driven by China’s booming economy and Asians’ growing appetite for world class sports, the Asia Pacific region is increasingly becoming “the place to be” for sports marketers and officials.
Yao Ming, Ichiro Suzuki and Pak Se Ri have become household names around the world while major sporting events like the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup and NBA games have made major Asian cities regular stops on their global calendar.
The inaugural East West Sports Summit (EWSS) is an international conference focusing on sports and the sports industry in the Asia Pacific region and the United States. It is designed for business, government, academic, federation and media leaders who wish to acquire expertise to thrive in Asia Pacific sports markets and network with
international participants.
